Today’s post was supposed to be about the Colour Pop Creme Colours, but I had to bump it to share the awesomeness of my new favourite skincare product. I know I said the same thing about my last post, but really, Vichy is killing the skincare game. This post is a Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum review.
A few months ago, I noticed the beginnings of fine lines on my face, and I immediately started searching for remedies because I feel like if I start getting lines now that I’m in my 20s, by the time I’m 50 I will look like my 90 year old grandma.
Anyhoo, after a little research, I discovered that hyaluronic acid was the current IT ingredient to combat lines and hydration issues. I was also looking for a serum instead of a cream in the hopes that it would hydrate my thirsty but oily skin without turning me into a grease ball.
So I ordered the Aqualia Thermal Power Serum from Vichy because I’d used a few of their products before and I love them. This serum has 10 % Thermal Spa Water + Hyaluronic Acid. I’ve been using this for about two weeks now, and I kid you not, my fine lines have practically disappeared. It’s like magic. I noticed last night, but I thought it was the lighting that was deceiving me, but I checked again in broad daylight today and they ones on my forehead are just gone, while the smile lines around my mouth have greatly reduced.
Fine lines aside, the Aqualia serum is very soothing and very hydrating without being greasy, and it actually lives up to its claims. It’s perfect for sensitive, oily, and combination skin.
If you have oily skin and you are having trouble finding a good hydrating product that won’t leave you greasy, I highly recommend this. It has become my favourite moisturizer. I’m beyond impressed and I will definitely repurchase.
The only con is that it has a light fragrance, which I know some people don’t like in their skincare products. I actually love the way it smells and it has not irritated me so far.
Price: The best 36 USD/ 42 CAD/ 22.5 GBP I’ve spent on a beauty product ever.
