Vichy Aqualia Thermal Awakening Eye Balm Review

Vichy Aqualia Eye Balm Review

We’re just going to call it Vichy eye balm from here on out because I can’t be  bothered to type that out over and over. I’m a huge fan of the Vichy brand in general and the Aqualia line in particular, and I was very happy to finally get my hands on this eye balm. Their Aqualia line offers non- greasy hydration which my oily skin is very grateful for. I will do a proper post introducing the brand and their lines, but for now let’s just stick to reviewing the eye cream.

Vichy Aqualia line: Aqualia Serum, Aqualia Lip Balm, Aqualia Awakening Eye Balm

My Experience with the Vichy Eye Balm

I find this balm very hydrating, and easily absorbed.  Even though the balm comes out blue from the bottle,  it goes on colourless on the skin. It makes such a great base on which to apply some of my fussier concealers. It really helps with puffiness. I have noticed an obvious reduction in under eye puffiness.

I don’t really have fine lines as much as under eye creases that have been there for as long as I can remember. They’re not age related, and I wasn’t really expecting this eye cream to do anything to fix them. I’ve accepted them, and I think most people have them anyway.

The Important Things to Note

The Vichy eye balm is good for hydrating and de-puffing the eye area, and it makes a great base for under eye makeup.

It is paraben free, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes.

It is is water/gel based product. There is no oily feel to it, and it absorbs easily into the skin.

It contains a whooping 15ml of product, which is a rather generous quantity for an eye cream.

I can’t really tell whether it makes a difference to fine lines, as I don’t have any age related fine lines around my eyes

Final thoughts

I think if you’re looking for a great starter eye cream or an everyday eye cream to keep the eye area hydrated, this is a great option, especially if you have oily skin and you’re looking for non-greasy moisturizers. In fact, I would recommend the entire Aqualia line from Vichy for people with oily skin who struggle to find the right kind of moisturizers. I especially love the Aqualia Thermal Serum
