In the past, NARS foundations have been rather hit-or-miss for me. I never really found a formula or finish I could commit to. All that changed when I tried the Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation.
NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation Review
NARS’ first 16-hour foundation has a lightweight, breathable, fade-resistant formula and features medium-to-full, buildable coverage in 33 skin-matching shades to fit all skin tones and undertones. The transfer-resistant, sweat-resistant formula stays color-true all day, and continues to look fresh and vibrant, as if it was just applied. This formula features superior blendability for an imperceptible effect that looks natural, like skin. It doesn’t look or feel cakey, heavy, drying, or masking. A unique combination of translucent base with micronized amino acid-coated pigments and mineral tone-balancing powders mimic skin’s tone, fusing with it for the closest match. NARS’ Skin Optimizing Complex—a blend of raspberry, apple, and watermelon extracts—helps support skin’s elastic fibers to smooth and improve skin’s appearance over time for optimal radiance.
NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation Swatches
I picked up two shades: Macao and Caracas. Here’s how they compare to other foundations I own.
As promised, here are swatches of some new foundations I have been trying, compared to old faves. Top to bottom: @maybelline Super Stay 24H @lacolorscosmetics Truly Matte @narsissist Radiant Longer (in two shades) @esteelauder Double Wear @fentybeauty ProFiltr @hudabeauty Faux Filter @narsissist Radiant Creamy Concealer #maybelline #mnyitlook #lacolorscosmetics #fentybeauty #hudabeauty #nars
Here’s my thoughts on the foundation, including a wear test:
I found this to be long wearing, with a gorgeous radiant finis that looked natural. It offered medium coverage, improving the look of my skin without masking it. I typically prefer matte foundations, but there’s just something about it that I really enjoyed. I’m definitely picking up a bottle of this!
Check out my video if you want to see how it blended, what I wore it with, and how it looked at the end of the day.
