milani make it last setting powder review - medium deep

Milani just launched a translucent setting powder, and I was very excited to try it because they offer different shades of it, including a medium deep shade.

Because you’re worth it, invest in Make It Last Setting Powder for longer lasting, flawless makeup. This is a high performance, ultra-fine translucent loose powder that seals in makeup and extends wear. Infused with light-reflecting pigments to diffuse fine lines and imperfections for a subtle soft-focus effect. Oil-absorbing formula will not strip away moisture, and adds a light, sheer coverage to reduce shine day to night. Available in 3 shades with a matte transparent finish, and 1 with a luminous finish.

This is a matte translucent powder with the most gorgeous finish. My face stayed pretty matte all day, and it also had the kind of golden undertone I appreciate in my powders. I also really like the packaging. It has a seal you can twist to close so that powder doesn’t get everywhere. I really appreciate that because loose powders can be so messy!

Milani Make It Last Setting Powder Medium Deep vs Laura Mercier Translucent Medium Deep Powder – Dupes?

I find both of these powders to look similar in colour, similar in finish, and last about the same length of time on my skin. So, yes I would say that they are dupes.

Overall, I think the powder is great, and I love it. I am a little concerned about the price though. If you watch the video you will see that the Milani powder is quite small. It looks like a travel sized powder. You get 0.12z of powder for $11. For reference, with Laura Mercier you get 1oz for $38. 1oz of the Milani powder would cost you $91.6 if I’m not mistaken. Soooo…yeah, it’s not really as affordable as it looks at first glance.

I do like that it is travel sized, but I consider it a bit overpriced, especially for the drugstore.

Have you tried this? What do you think of it?
