Makeup Revolution recently launched their holiday collection which is called Life On The Dance Floor.
It consists of 4 palettes with each palette having three matching lipsticks. So that works out to 4 palettes and 12 lipsticks.
They are available for purchase here.
I was sent 3 palettes and their matching lipsticks by the brand for my review consideration, and I will be reviewing and swatching them in this post.
I have swatched all the lipsticks live in this video. I also did a demo of the Guest List palette so you guys can see how it applies.
Makeup Revolution Guest List Palette Review & Swatches
The Guest List collection comes in a glittery rose gold packaging.
The Guest List Palette contains warm neutrals. Lots of peaches and oranges, and some browns to balance it out. It also contains a few mauves. This is a mostly matte palette. Out of 24 shades, only 6 are metallic. The other 18 are matte.
Makeup Revolution Guest List Palette Swatches
Here’s what the palette looks like. I swatched as many different shades as I could because some of the shades are really similar.
I love the mattes in this palette. They are really pigmented and so easy to blend.
They are a little dusty though, which is sometimes the case when a palette is pigmented. I would recommend making sure you tap off the excess product from your brush before applying it to your eyes so you don’t get a face full of fallout. Alternatively, you could just do eyeshadow before foundation.
Aside from that, I think this is a great palette. I love it, and I definitely recommend picking it up.

The three shades of lipsticks that are part of the Guest List collection are deeper nudes.
The shades are named Stilleto, Head Turner and Potential. These are really pigmented lipsticks. Potential has a matte finish, Stiletto and Head Turner have more of a satin finish. I have only worn Stiletto on my lips and it wore really well throughout the day. It stayed on, didn’t fade, and didn’t dry out my lips or emphasize texture. It is also a really pretty nude for dark skin.
Makeup Revolution Life On The Dance Floor Sparklers Palette Review & Swatches
The Sparklers collection comes in black glittery packaging.

This is a very colourful palette. I love the mattes especially. It’s not easy to find pigmented bright matte shades. If you’re into colourful eyeshadow, you’re going to love this.
Makeup Revolution After Party Palette Swatches.
This is a cool neutral palette, but it still has a few pops of colour that save it from being boring and make it wearable on my deeper skintone without looking ashy.
Overall, I really do love these palettes. I think they are amazing. The mattes are pigmented, the metallics are brilliant, the colour selections are cohesive and the packaging is stunning!
Makeup Revolution Life On The Dance Floor Lipsticks Review and Swatches
These lipsticks are very creamy. There are some hits and some misses. But before we get into that, I just wanted to point out that I love how the lipsticks complement their corresponding palettes.
For the most part, these are satin lipsticks. The best of them (Potential, Funk You) have a slightly more matte finish than the rest. This makes them a little more pigmented and a lot more long-wearing, and they are very comfortable too.
The worst of them (Disobey, 4 AM) are sheer and patchy and I was unable to achieve uniform opacity with these shades.
Overall, I really love these lipsticks. I am kind of stunned that with the packaging and formula, they are still so affordable.
I think Makeup Revolution have out-done themselves with this collection. 😍
Have you tried these? What do you think?
