Hey guys! Today’s review is another MakeupGeek one. This is a review on their sparklers.
These sparklers are called glitters, but honestly it’s not like any glitter I’ve seen before. It is very finely milled, barely chunkier than loose shadows. I would say it’s more like micro glitter. It can be used without glitter primer, depending on how you want to use it. It just clings so nicely to the skin. You can use glitter primer if you want a more textured effect.
I was sent three shades: Light Year, Meteor Shower and Stargazer.
Light Year is a white base with golden pink reflects
Stargazer is a white base with a holographic finish.
Meteor Shower is silver.
The duochrome effect that Light Year and Stargazer have is more visible when they’re swatched in thin layers. Once you pile it on, it just looks white. On my skintone, I will wear these shades over other colours. They kind of remind me of the Alchemist shadows from Kat von D. In the sense that they can be used to transform other shades.
Unfortunately the duochrome effect is very difficult to photograph, but I hope this shows that you can use these sparklers over regular shadows to transform their finish and colour.
I love that that white shades have warm reflects that prevents it from looking ashy on deep skin.
They have lots more shades available. I’ve got my eye on some of the deeper shades. You can view all available shades here
I love the formula of these sparklers, and I can’t wait to try other shades. If you’re a glitter lover, they’re worth trying out.
