Lancome Miracle Air De Teint Foundation ; Review

I came across the Lancome Miracle Air De Teint while trying to figure out my correct shade in the Teint Idole after being mismatched by a sales assistant.  But once I read the words “perfecting fluid matte glow creator”, I abandoned my  quest to find a good shade match in the Teint Idole, and decided that I just HAD to try the Miracle Air De Teint.

Product Description: Our 1st perfecting fluid foundation that feels as light as air. 100% of women forget they are wearing it*. For our ultimate ‘no make-up’ look. For the 1st time, Lancôme has incorporated powder and blurring technology into its foundation. To create a new, incredibly lightweight formula.
Benefits:Weightless feeling correction – the Blur innovation. Miracle Air de Teint blurs and corrects the look of imperfections.

So I picked up a sample to test out. Basically, this is supposed to be a liquid to powder, light as air, light coverage foundation. It is basically supposed to be a “my-skin-but-better” type of product, and it is just that. It literally feels like you have nothing on your face. Also, coverage is minimal. It you have any glaring imperfections this will do NOTHING to hide them.

I wore it on a relatively cool day,and I was quite pleased with its performance. It doesn’t make my skin any oilier than usual. It is very, very light weight, it didn’t separate or settle into my smiles lines. It made me look like I had really good skin, instead of looking like I was wearing foundation.  I really wish it had a little bit more coverage, but I can work with it.  After about 8 or so hours, it had completely disappeared from my nose, but that was to be expected. It is a lightweight foundation and my nose is Large Pores and Oil HQ so I was not shocked.

I’m in the shade 11 Muscade.

Skin-like finish
Good for oily skin because it is liquid-to-powder
Doesn’t necessarily need to be set with powder

Might not be the best for dry skin
As far as I could tell, it wasn’t really doing much  to blur or correct imperfections.

Bottom line
I don’t know that I’d buy the full size of this because it is really, really light coverage, and I already have a great powder foundation for the days when I want that look.  I’d recommend it for people with normal to oily skin who need light to medium coverage or basically people who already have great skin, but just want a sheer layer of coverage.

*The Miracle Air De Teint is sold as the Nude Miracle foundation in some countries.
