LA COLORS recently launched a pretty popular foundation that had everyone going crazy! I tried it and here is what I think.
The long wearing, high pigment formula applies as a liquid and blends to a beautiful matte, powder-like finish. Available in 14 shades to compliment a wide range of skin tones.
I love that this came with a pump, albeit with a problematic one. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a pump in a foundation this cheap. The packaging does feel a little cheap, but hey, I wasn’t expecting Marc Jacobs packaging at $6.
The consistency of this foundation is quite thick. Think Kat von D Lock It foundation. However, it blended out really well. Like most foundations do, it darkened on application, and I also feel like the undertone changed from yellow to red.

Here is how the shade Cappucinno compares to other foundations I wear.
As promised, here are swatches of some new foundations I have been trying, compared to old faves. Top to bottom: @maybelline Super Stay 24H @lacolorscosmetics Truly Matte @narsissist Radiant Longer (in two shades) @esteelauder Double Wear @fentybeauty ProFiltr @hudabeauty Faux Filter @narsissist Radiant Creamy Concealer #maybelline #mnyitlook #lacolorscosmetics #fentybeauty #hudabeauty #nars
I found this foundation to have a matte finish. It was long wearing and did not fade or crease through out the day. I waited a while between my video and the written version of this blog post to see if this foundation would break me out because that’s something that people have been curious about when it comes to this foundation. I’m happy to report that I have had no breakouts as a result of this foundation.
Overall, I like it. As always, I feel that the shade range needs work. But aside from that, it is a really good foundation, especially for those who are looking for something that’s really good at controlling oil.
