Evita Joseph Liptended Liquid Lipsticks Review and Swatches

Evita Joseph Liptended Liquid Lipstick Review

So I was in Accra a while ago, and I was lucky enough to meet Evita of Evita Joseph. She is so gorgeous and such a nice person! Anyway, I got some of the Liptended Liquid lipsticks to try, and here is my review on them.

As some of you may know, I lived in Ghana for a while, and I loved it and I miss it. So when I first heard about these I half fell in love with the Ghanaian – inspired names before even trying it.

Now that I have actually tried them, I am all the way in love with them. I got the shades Birimian Rocks and Ashtown.

Birimian Rocks is a dark – but not vampy – red shade. It is so beautiful, and it looks very flattering on deep/dark skin. I’m very picky about my reds but this one was an instant fave!

I’m wearing it in the photo below.

My hair is a wig and it is the Freetress Corin. Read my review on the hair here.

Ashtown is an inky blackened purple. Ashtown is really impressive because in my experience a good dark purple is hard to find. They’re either drying or streaky or they crack/flake during the day. This shade applies smoothly, it is opaque and builds me. It is comfortable and long wearing. As of right now, it is my favourite vampy purple.

Both of these lipsticks have really subtle shimmer, up close. This doesn’t really show up from far away, and the lipsticks do still look matte, but they don’t look flat or dull. The sheen is barely visible but it just adds this extra oomph to the lipstick. I feel it makes the lips look plumper and juicier. If you own Kat von D ‘s Outlaw liquid lipstick, you know what I mean.

I am seriously impressed with the formula of this liquid lipstick. It dries to a mostly transfer-proof finish, and it stays comfortable all day.

You can buy this in Nigeria from The Mose Store, and you can buy it in Ghana from the Evita Joseph website.
