Hey guys! How’s everyone doing? I feel like it’s been ages since I sat down and wrote a proper post. Anyway, today I will talking about how to pick the Best Moisturizer For Oily Skin.
For me, picking a moisturizer has always been one of those tricky things because all the regular ones used to feel so heavy and greasy on my skin.
Then a few years ago I started hearing about hyaluronic acid.
Best Moisturizer For Oily Skin
For me, the best moisturizers for oily skin are water based (or oil-free) serums that contain hyaluronic acid.
In simple terms, hyaluronic acid improves the skin’s ability to retain water.
I bought the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum which contains hyaluronic acid. It has been my go to moisturizer for years now and I love how it hydrates my skin without leaving any trace of oils.
More recently I started using The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin which also contains hyaluronic acid. It is also a really good mositurizer for oily skin especially for those with hyperpigmentation issues.
The Ordinary also makes a proper hyaluronic acid serum that contains2% Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin B5
Of course, there are so many more brands that make so many other forms of Hyaluronic Acid serums, so there’s something for everyone and every budget.
So, to recap, if you have oily skin and you’re looking for a good moisturizer, consider a hyaluronic acid moisturizer that is oil-free. However, if you’re looking for an oil moisturizer for acne-prone skin, I recommend Rose Hip Seed Oil.
Oily skin can be dehydrated too, and moisturizer is actually as important for us as it is for dry skin. Also, moisturizing properly can actually help decrease excessive oil production.
So that’s it for this post. What’s your favourite moisturizer for oily skin? Tell me in the comments.
