Best Makeup Geek eyeshadows + Other February 2017 Favourites

Hey guys! It’s  a new month and you know what that means! It’s time for me to share what I’ve been loving in the past month. I haven’t done a monthly favourites post since probably October or November 2016, so I have quiet a few things to  share today.

Here’s what I’ve been loving lately.

1. My Customized Palette of Warm Neutral Eyeshadows  from Makeup Geek.

Favourite MakeupGeek eyeshadows

So I posted a photo of my favourite Makeup Geek shadows on Instagram and everyone seemed to love it, so I decided to do swatches of them here. Warm neutrals are in right now, with everyone from Smashbox to Huda to Anastasia Beverly Hills putting out a warm neutral palette. I’m not really a palette person. I prefer to pick each indivual shade by myself. So, I made my own warm neutral palette using these single shadows from Makeup Geek. Makeup Geek also makes a gorgeous magnetic palette where you can put the single pans. You can shop Makeup Geek products here.
Anyway, here are what I currently consider the best Makeup Geek eyeshadows.

Favourite Makeup Geek eyeshadows, Best Makeup Geek eyeshadows for brown skin, best makeup geek eyeshadows for dark skin, makeup geek eyeshadows swatch on dark skin, Makeup Geek Frappe swatch on dark skin, makeup geek curtain call swatch on dark skin, makeup geek Untamed swatch on dark skin, Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear swatch on dark skin, Makeup Geek Morocco swatch on dark skin, makeup geek bitten swatch on dark skin, makeup geek corrupt swatch on dark skin, makeup geek flame thrower swatch on dark skin
Top to bottom: Frappe, Morocco, Americano, Flame Thrower, Bitten, Untamed, Cocoa Bear, Corrupt, Curtain Call.

I love how these particular colours look on my medium deep skin. You can see swatches of all my Makeup Geek shadows here.
2. UberChic Ville Mink Lashes in Whisper

These are really natural looking. They are like my lashes but better. I love that it is longest in the  middle. The style really suits my hooded eyes. You can use the code “bfrenzy” for 10% of all UberChic Ville orders from their website.

3. Makeup Revolution Lip Kits

I recently got the Makeup Revolution Lip Kits in Glory and Magnificent and I have been loving them. I’m wearing Magnificent in the photo below. Glory is a gorgeous vampy brown shade.

4. Zaron Volumizing Mascara

I’ve  been pairing this  with my Lancome Cils Booster and it’s just been giving me the most luscious lashes on the days I dont feel like wearing false lashes. You can read the full review here.

5. Becca Multi Tasking Perfecting Powder

I love the airbrushed, put together, I-Made-An-Effort look this powder gives to the skin. I usually use it as a setting powder, but on minimal makeup days, I put this one, fill my brows and put on some lip balm and I’m ready to go.

6. NYX Glitter Primer.

Ive been really into glitter lately, and this juat does an awesome job as a glitter adhesive. It’s also great for regular shadows. Full review here

7. Mavala Double Lash Serum

This serum gave me longer and fuller lashes, as promised. I love it and it’s become  a regular part of my skincare regimen.

8. Generic Colour Switch Device

So I heard about the Vera Mona colour switch, and I wanted it, but I felt it was a little pricey for what it is. I was so excited to find this dupe  for less than $5 on ebay. It does a great job of cleaning my eyeshadow brushes in between using different  shades.

9. Generic Brush Mat

I also wanted the Sigma brush mat but I thought it was rather pricy for a brush cleansing tool. I found a dupe for it though. This brush mat pictured here  costs less  than $10 on eBay. I did pick up  the  original Sigmagic Brushampoo from Sigma. It’s totally  worth the hype, and its another thing  I’ve been loving lately. It’s the best brush shampoo I’ve used.

10. The Ordinary Vitamin C serum

This is a new addition to my skincare routine, but I really  like it so far. It doesn’t feel sticky on the skin, and it layers well with other products. I love the packaging  as well. Full review coming soon.

So those are my current favourites. What have you been loving lately?

  1. I really like the Trust Fund Beauty “Gimme Good Face” Primer and the Two Faced Hangover Primer, they have different textures but feel so light on my face :). I also love the e.l.f. velvet matte lipsticks in dark brown and vampy violet. I’ll have to try the makeup geek shadows sometime, it looks like such a good deal and the pigmentation is stunning. Thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. I want to try the Hangover Primer but I’m afraid to put anything with coconut on my face. I’ve been loving Elf lately, and I need to check out Trust Fund. I’ve never heard of them before.

Feel free to share your thoughts and comments below! I read every single one and I try my best to reply as much as I can.
