Traditional bullet lipsticks are making a comeback and I for one, am excited about it. ABH is the latest brand to launch lipsticks. They launched these at the same time as their Subculture Palette. But with all the Subculture drama, these just sort of slipped through the cracks.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Review
Product Information from brand website:
A full-pigment lip color with a smooth, ultra-matte finish. Use the highest point of the bullet to apply Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick with precision.
Full pigment formula
Smooth matte finish
I find these very matte, but not uncomfortably so. They tug a bit on application, like the Mac Retro Mattes tend to do, but the ABH matte lipsticks have a much more superior formula.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Swatches on Dark Skin
I got the shades Rust and Rosewood and I love them. Rosewood is the lighter shade on top, Rust is the vampy brown on the bottom. I love them both. Rosewood is a deep rosy nude that looks great on my skintone.
Here’s how Rust looks on me:
Who's tried the @anastasiabeverlyhills @norvina lipsticks? I really like them and I'm wearing the shade Rust here. 😍 I'm also wearing the #ABHFoundation in Amber and the #BrowWiz in Dark Brown My eye shadow is the @nyxcosmetics Fire Palette. Demo is in my previous post. I used the @sigmabeauty 4DHD #SigmaBrushes @makeupforblackwomen #makeupforblackwomen #anastasiabeverlyhills #sticktoflawless #abhbrows #abhlipstick #norvina #makeuptutorial #abh #anastasiabrows
Follow me on Instagram to see how Rosewood looks. I will share a photo of me wearing it soon.
I love the quality and formula of these. They last for about 4-5 hours before they need to be touched up. If you eat, it will wear off. It didn’t dry out my lips or emphasize texture. I didn’t notice any off-putting fragrance to it. I didn’t notice any fragrance at all. I love the packaging. It closes firmly and it is very sleek and chic.
That’s pretty much all I have to say about these lipsticks. I think they’re great and I plan on picking up more shades. If there’s something you wanted to know that I didn’t include, please leave a comment down below.
These are available from Sephora for $18.
